BrightLines Roof Side Rails Cross Bars Combo Replacement for Honda Odyssey 2011-2017
Shipped fast and was fairly easy to install. The covers need slightly longer clips to secure, needed to hit them pretty hard in order to fall in place.
Everything fit Without issue. Rack is decent build. Shipping was fast. Rated four star cause instructions could’ve been a bit better. Would’ve also been nice if measurements were written in inches as well.would buy again.
The cross rails and roof racks are really easy to install and look great. They fit perfectly on my 2015 Honda Odyssey. I live in Canada and I was unable to get them shipped to my address due to an issue with my location. The customer service team was great and very easy to deal with. They were very helpful and sent it via USPS. The only issue I had was on the Canadian side due to customs adding an extra $50, which I had to pay once I picked them up from the post office. Otherwise, a great product and fantastic customer care!!
The roof racks and rails were an excellent purchase for my '15 Honda Odyssey. They were very easy to install. The measurements for cutting were spot on and made the installation an almost "no brainer". There was one aspect of installing the center support that was left off the instructions, but it was easy enough to fix once it was noticed. Their price was almost half what the dealership was charging, and they look just as good. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for roof racks on their Odyssey.
Great rack, easy install. Watch this video from Eric the car guy and you will know what you've got coming. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JvhuI6-ocrY&t=234s Some quick suggestions to help. 1) If you don't have a metric tape measure, just use a mm to inches conversion from google. 2) If you don't have an air saw, you can use a compound miter saw or jigsaw. 3) Remove the trim piece from the middle support before installing the rail. 4) the larger "foot" goes to the rear! Good luck!
Quick delivery. Perfect fit and excellent video on installation for 2016 Honda Odyssey roof racks. And, the best price I found.
The products came in with pretty solid boxes. The manual is clear to understand. The roof rails and cross bars are in very good quality. Even though there are some tricks during the installation, I eventually got them installed successfully! Now my Odyssey looks sporty and sexy. Highly recommended for sure!
I'm always a little hesitant to do projects in my car but after reading the reviews here and really wanting Cross bars on my Odyssey I decided to get it a try. To my surprise, it actually was as easy as the video on the website makes it look. The only tool I didn't have which helped a lot was a little electric hand saw to cut the trim molding. I would not recommend manually trying to cut through the trim by hand. Other than that it is really just a matter of ******** in some bolts. But for the price and quality I definitely recommend this product. As mentioned in other posts, it took about 2 hours from start to finish. I needed a step stool to reach the top of the vehicle at an angle that was easy to work.
Good instructions. Easy to install. The bars seem to be of good quality. My only critique is that I had to modify the pads that go under the two rear rail mounts. There is a rubber knob on the rubber pad that obviously is meant for a slightly different vehicle. I would buy the product again. As a complete novice, it took me about two hours to install both rails and 20 minutes for the cross bars. I used a reciprocating saw for trimming the moulding. I used a putty knife with electrical tape on the edge to pry up the moulding without scraping the paint. I pried the moulding up from the front and just pulled it out. Other than those deviations, I followed the fairly simple instructions.
This is a great deal for a new set of rails and cross bars. The rails were a challenge to install for me. For one, cutting the existing rails was a challenge b/c I didn't have an air saw. I tried a hack saw but that was bending the metal. So then I tried my miter saw, but that was overkill but at least it worked. BTW, don't stress about the metric vs inches. The measurement doesn't have to be exactly precise. It's just to give room for the base of the rails to hit the existing bolts on the van. Also, for me, the rails didn't perfectly align with my 2012 Honda Odyssey in the middle bolt area. I could only screw down one of the two bolts in the middle. However, with the ends, I was able to screw down 2 screws for front and back. Secure enough for me. Once that was in, the cross bars were super easy to install. I was then able to install the Sears Xsport storage rack on top and we just finished a successful camping trip! All in all for the price, it was a great deal! One minor thing, your parts may come already attached, for ex, the cover to the ends of the rails. When you try to separate them, there is a white fastener that may break. That's normal per the customer service guy I called. You don't need them for the install at all. It's just for the shipping delivery.
